Pain Management

How Reiki Can Help With Pain Management?

Pain, whether chronic or acute, can negatively affect many aspects of our lives. It can increase stress, make it difficult to sleep well, impact mood, decrease mobility and functioning, and increase anxiety. Chronic pain can also contribute to depression and other mental health disorders.

I can help you set up a customized plan for your pain management whether you are dealing with chronic pain, had an injury or preparing for a surgery.

Reiki may help to relieve muscle tension, manage pain and discomfort after exercise or injury. It enhances your body’s natural ability to heal itself and promotes health.

How EFT Can Resolve Physical Symptom of Pain?

In EFT research on pain, pain decreased by an average of 68% with EFT. That’s a 2/3ds drop! Isn't it seems very impressive? EFT can produce a two-thirds drop in pain, why can’t it produce a 100% drop?

The consensus is that the two thirds of pain reduced by EFT is due largely to emotional causes, while the remaining one third of the pain has a physical derivation.

Preparing For Surgery Or Medical Procedure

Research shows Reiki administered before and after surgery might improve the body's natural response for treatment and reduce healing time.

Research studies repeatedly show that people who prepare for surgery are less anxious, have less pain, fewer complications, and a faster recovery. Reiki as a healing modality provides one of the easiest and most beneficial ways of doing this.

Research results for patients undergoing knee replacement surgery:

There was a statistically significant trend of pain reduction in the Reiki group. Only the Reiki group showed post-operative diminution in blood pressure and respiratory rate. The sham group showed decrease in anxiety but less than the group receiving Reiki

How Many Sessions do I need?

If the person's energy level is in the average or good range, I suggest a complete Reiki session the same day or on the eve of the surgery. However, if the person's energy level is low, then it would be more beneficial to him or her to receive a series of Reiki sessions prior to surgery. Start at least one week prior to surgery.
